Hi,

Fishkeeping seem very popular in China must more popular than here in America especially where i live in Quebec,Canada. In China they have a whole street dedicated just to sell aquarium fish. Every restaurant have fishtank as a decoration and also you can choose your fish to be cooked. Fish is a very popular meal overthere, I think almost every home in china have a fishtank. Here in america i heard of fishtank in funeral home. Yes one funeral home had 2 parrot chichilds and a common pleco in a 20 gallon tank or something.

This is just to say that fishtank and fish are used more often as a live house decoration rather than a pet :irked:

But on this i would like to know where have you located your tank inside your house. I heard of people used their tank to do a separation in between two room. For exemple putting it in the kitchen to separete the kitchen with the living room. but other have in-wall tank into their basement but i don't have a basement. Maybe i could put a in-wall tank into my bedroom.

anywhere you like really just not in cold areas or high traffic areas. obviously not behind doors and on a floor that can hold the weight

I keep mine in my basement. You can keep it in any place without direct sunlight and where you will be able to enjoy the fish.

I have one in the main living room of my house, four in my room, and my brother has one in his room..........

anywhere one fits.

:iagree:
My room that is dedicated for tanks is now overflowing into other parts of the house.

My tanks are located:
30 gallon Turtle tank is in my sons room
30 gallon Community tank is in dining room
55 gallon home to one Oscar is in the dining room
20 gal. Saltwater tank is in dining room
55 gallon home to one Oscar is in my bedroom
and the new 125 gallon tank is in the basement in family room

i got 1/125 in living room, 1/55 as a divider between living/dining rooms, 1/125 in dining room accross from my dinner table, 1/40L in bedroom beside bed.

now for the basement: i have built a custom stand to hold 1/20, 2/29, 1/30, 1/75, has room for another 30-55. also in middle about eye height i have my 27in. TV kinda raised in middle above tops of tanks. then i also have kinda closeing the room into a square around my sectional couch. to the left of couch 1/55 on own stand, 1/30 on own stand, then to the right i have 1/125on own stand finishing "the box".

also got some laying around in garage/spare bedroom, but these are not hooked up for the time being. well i dunno if this helps any, but there are some ideas. tanks everywhere!! is my goal :)
