I posted a wuestion like this i think....both my aunts tank and I seem to develop piles of fish crap on the sand. We have tried multiple positions with wave makers and arent able to actially keep thier crap up off the floor to the overflow?

Any ideas thanks, unless its suppose to be like that in freshwater as when we had our marine set ups qe never noticed.

Thanks

Im a dummy, i have the korillia power heads...i for some reason thought wave makers was a universal term for them. Its not the food that piles up its thier actual feces that pile up

^ Sounds like the Korilla may not have enough GPH to push the crud from the tank floor up into the filter intake?

So i guess maybe try placing it lower down in the tank so that its closer to the substrate and hope that it blows up the poop and stuff into the intake? or is there anything blocking the flow such as deco that could be making your wave maker a little less effective?

I have them lowered. On opposite sides of the tank to keep stuff out of the corners...guess it could be gph i might just have to gravel vacume the tank more...as i plan upgrading ghe tank and will most likely buy large power heads, thanks
