I have been pondering on the thought of getting a vivarium for something small and scaly, to go next to my fish, however I don't know where to start. I originally planned To have some Ptychozoon Kuhli, Flying Gekkos in an arboreal set up as the more planted idea seamed more interesting than arid desert, but have seen many other interesting things while working out what i would need for this kind of set up.

I really don't want a snake, but i do like gekkos, and i would prefer something that I could keep a few of together.

I had looked at the ferplast explora range for the tank:drool:, i thought these were perfect until i saw the price:cry:... so instead i think im going to have one of the Vivexotic vivariums http://www.vivexotic.co.uk/products.html, but dont know weather the taller Ax sieries would be better or if one of there longer tanks would be better.

Any help is apreciated

If you want an aboreal gecko species then go with a tank that is taller then it is wide and you'll be fine. A group of Lygodactylus would work out well.

Those tanks are nice but I could build one like that. I'd just buy an Exo Terra if I were you.

I not great at DiY, otherwise i would just seamed to me could get a lot more space for about the same price as the Exo Terra, is it benificial to the animal to have larger tanks, or would they prefer smaller?

dart frogs go really well a nice planted terrarium and you could keep a bunch in there if you wanted...

Are they quite active, i want something to look at whenever, i don't really want anything nocturnal, or to easily scared.

no, they are diurnal and can be active but they are not super active all the time. Either way, they are really cool to watch
