down in arcadia florida(where i lived for the first and last 15 years of my life) we used to catch brown hoplo catfish all over the streams, marshes and canals on our ranch. however i just realized i haven't seen any in the last two years. maybe it could have been the cold kill that took out so many snook and tilapia. any body know if their still in florida. we used to catch them on bread balls and worms.

I live in Fort Myers and have never caught one in the last 6 years since ive lived here. Never really targeted them though.

It's been a while since I saw one. But not 6 years long. More like 2-3 years. I think it was the recent cold kill that got the snook. Or the FWC got to them. But more likely the first one cuz I don't think the FWC has done much.
