I have a 265 gallon(7'x2'x2.5') with angelfish and geophagus. I want to get an arowana but don't want one that will massacre my other fish. Which type is the best community aro?

1) silver
2) black
3) jardini
4) leichardti

And yes, I know the 2' width will not be enough when full grown. So let's not go down that path. It just gives me a reason to upgrade tanks in a couple years. Lol

Best chances are with either a lei or a silver , forget about jardini it'll make light work of your stock :)

Ive kept a black with angels and geos before with np. Blacks are much less aggressive and better coloration, IMO. Good luck

I would also say get a black.
They are much slender than silvers, not agressive, beautiful, but the price is higher.
For a full grown aro the tank would be to small but for a few years you are fine.

black or silver. I have my albino silver with my geo redheads and all are getting very well together.

I've got a Jar that torments a pbass twice his size. Doesnt mind the geo though. My jar is a pretty aggressive dude (especially given he's only 8"). Probably wouldn't risk it.
