Which Atabapo type am I?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
There's another with it that is perfect. I think the fish I'm really looking for is a 1. I don't want a 'pink' or grey pike. I'm looking for bright red or I'll go with something else like a Lenticulata or Marmorata. I'm no stranger to pikes but am not that familiar with the Atabapo types.

This one will not get bright red like an atabapo 1 or a tapajos 1 or tapajos 2.

If you're looking for a deep red, pass on this one as it won't get there. Also, unless you have access to soft water, I'd move on as this is one of the most susceptible to HITH among pikes.

Thanks for the info. There is also a noticeable price diff between the 2.

I like the atabapo two. There is a subtle beauty to it. But the bright red really pops on the 1's.

I would prefer a Cr. Marmorata "Rio Trombetas" but since those have not been around in a long time the 1 is what I am probably getting. I want either bright red or the color patterns of the other pikes I mentioned.

Trombetas marmorata have not been around in some time. I like them too. Keep an eye on Jeffs list and on snookn21. Wetspot is worth looking at and if you have someone who has an importing license, look at Below Water.

Good luck finding your dream pike.
