So I have been looking into different bead filters for my 1000 gallon system and quite frankly there are just too many. My top 3 are bubble bead 6000, ultima 6000 and advantage koi 10 bead. All claim to have the best proprietary beads blah blah blah. So my question is to my fellow forum ppl what is your experiences with these products and are there any more you would recommend. Also I see a lot of gravity fed strainers with these bead filters is it really necessary to purchase one of these for clear water if there will be no sump? I plan to stock heavily discus and stingrays it will be a 4 tank system an I dont have all the money in the world just want to make sure my system doesn't outgrow my filtration.
