You can build a custom cage to fit your requirements for a fraction of the price...

I agree with nutcase, noth'n like chicken wire, plexiglass, plywood and a few screws :)

You forgot the beer. But a "few screws" tends to make the project take longer :naughty:.

Hey, if you can't cut plywood, 2x4's, acrylic, and screw them together square after a couple of beers, then you're no true carpenter ;).

Of course, if everything still looks square and plumb after you sober up, then you're a REALLY good carpenter.

But I agree, I think you should build your own enclosure. A sheet of plywood, some acrylic, some chicken wire, a 1lb box of screws and you'll be good to go.

My suggestion... Build the a frame out of 2x2 or 2x4... then cover it with plywood...

I much prefer glass/acrylic/plexi over screen to prevent them from rubbing their nose raw...

I did use screen with 1/4" holes for my Tegus cage but the 'windows' are up high and the Tegus don't climb much. Snakes are a different story.

For my Tegu's cage, cut the pieces to make the 2x2 frame... then painted each piece with one coat of drylocak... then assembled the frame... then pained the frame with one coat of drylock... then put on the plywood... then painted the whole thing with a couple coats of dry lock...

It's cage is now water tight... at least up to the level of the door...

This will prevent the wood from ever rotting due to high moisture or waste...
