Which Camera?

I can't decide between the Nikon CoolPix P90 and the Panasonic Lumix FZ28. I know some people on here know stuff about cameras so some help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Nikon makes better camera than Panasonic. That's just from my point of view.

go for an dslr. you wont regret it. once you go dslr you wont go back to point and shoot

Thanks. I just kinda like the way that the Lumix looks, lol. What are some of the cheaper dslrs? I don't really have $900-1,000 to go drop on a camera.

The nikon D3000 with a 18-55mm kit lens is selling for less than $600 canadian right now. You should be able to get the same camera for under $500 usd. From what I can gather it's only $100 more than the coolpix p90.

I'm not telling you to buy dslr, I'm simply suggesting you not rule them out. They are much more versatile, you can really be creative and they retain better value.

Thanks, Chai. I like that D3000. Found it on eBay for $520 w/ that lens. I can get the P90 for $345 from Amazon.

I like the Nikon D60....really user friendly. I think i got mine brand new last year for $600. Might be cheaper now.

Haynch, I was just looking at the D40, seems nice. I'm really only going to be using it just for family pics and probably the fish also, lol. I'm debating on wanting it to record HD...
