While surfing the web tonight I came across a cherax sp for sale called Blue Knight Lobster. Has anyone ever heard of this common name? I am wondering which cherax it is. Ther advertisement says its a cherax and reads, " The Blue Knight Lobster is from the rivers and streams of New Guinea, and is one of the larger species of crayfish attaining a total length of up to 12". Their colors can vary from a brilliant blue to a bluish brown coloration, and they have relatively small claws for their size. They will rarely hunt for fish as they are generally too slow to catch the latter. "
I am not that good with blue lobster pictures (even though I have been looking at countless numbers of them) but it kind of looks like the blue Cherax tenuimanus or destructor. I think i read that the Cherax quadricarinatus
comes in a blue too but I am not sure what it looks like. I am going to try and attach the picture from the add. This is not my picture, I just copied it. I am basically looking for one of the blue cherax that gets over a foot in lenght and want to know if this could be one of them. Thanks for the help. Wow I think this is my longest post yet.
