Hello, I think I am going to be getting a Cichlia for Christmas. I really like tems, orinos, monos. But money wise I will probably have to stick with orinos, monos, or occels. Which species would be best for me??
They would have to meet the following criteras:
A.) Live with 2 S.A Lungfish, 2 pacus, 1 tinfoil barb, 1 bala shark, 1 clown knife,1 fire eel, 1 oscar, 1 giant gourami... in a 150 for about 3-5 months then added to a 300
B.) Will not exceed 40''
C.) Eat worms, pellets, shrimp, etc..
Let me know which will work for me.

all could work. I would go with orinos while they are still available. but they do grow slow so if youre looking for instant satisfaction go with the ocell

I think orinos looks the best out of the three if you love sparkling bright colors.

Orinos I am leaning towards.

hAY yanker, If you are thinking about getting a orino, best of luck trying to find one 7'' so that your CK won't eat it.

Mono's and ocell are easier to find at the 7'' to 10'' inch mark....so i would recommend them.

Hey-
My clown knife is about 6'' and does not eat fish only worms...
I plan on getting a pbass of about 3-6''.
I take it as orinos are really hard to find.
I guess I will have to stick with a mono or a occel. I like monos and occels. So I will have to decide between those two.

Hey guys... I am getting my fish before I get my pond... enough said! Pbass are had to come by so I have to get em when there around. And I am sick of seeing replies in my thread of people saying my tank is overstocked. In my opinion it is not overstocked. So if I want to add more fish let me.
Thanks,
-Alex
