which eheim???

hi all, need advice on which filter to buy. it's between eheim pro2 2028 or pro3 2075. the pro 2 o could get for £152 inc. media, the pro3 i could get for £160 inc. media. i need to know from your experience, if any, which of the two is the better buy. thanks.

I would go with the pro 3 cuz its newer so it'll be easier to find filter pads and parts for it. I have a hell of a time finding filter pads for my 2026, half of the time I have to make my own.

What size tank ? Is it the sole filter ?

think about the size, that bucket is huge, i also heard that canisters do not need to be over filtered.

it will be on a 600litre tank and working with an fx5...fx5 for mech filtration the eheim i'll use for bio filtration...
so what dyah think?

ive never had a pro 3 but i have 2 pro 2s they are verry good filters they seem to work verry well

I never had pro 3 and never encounter any problem find media for a pro 2 model canisters. I had 3 pro 2 and have been extremely happy with it.

Hi! get an Fx5 instead! I have many Eheims but i love my Fx5's the most,they are on par with the BEST Eheim the 2260/2262! if i were you, i would get an Fx5,BUT if you need an Eheim,save up the extra cash and get a classic 2260/then upgrade the pump=2262.Forget the pro series...classic is the way to go!

I have the 2180 and going on 4 mo + and haven't had to do any maintence, water is crystal clear. I did have a few floaties the first couple months but I think this filter needs to get primed for awhile. I think I can probably go a year between filter changes/ cleaning as I dont overfeed my 180 g tank. Awsome quiet filter, well worth the extra money.
