Which filter floss (polyester cotton like stuff) is safe?

I ran out and was told that pillow batting from wal mart is the same thing. Anyone have any suggestions or names of brand I should look for ? I need the white filter floss and dont see any point in buying it at the fish store for 5 bucks.
Also if there is any ingredient or material I should not use could you point that out for me? Thanks guys ! ,

I don't use the batting stuff, but there is stuff on Drs. Foster and Smith that's made for aquariums. It comes in big sheets, and you just cut it to fit whatever filter. It's fairly cheap.

Thanks for the suggestion. I dont need any DR foster stuff for a while lol I spent 700 there last month on goodies. I heard there is some you can get cheap at wall mart. I saw they had some stuff in a blue bag a green bag and some stuff called poly fill. Any of them safe?

I go to the pond and get a big bag of poly fiber for $5. That bag last me almost a year. I heard people get poly fiber from Walmart as well but I cannot confirm which one they got.
