Marina S20, Marineland biowheel, or other? Looking to spend no more than 30$. Needs to be an hob, no canisters. Flow rate cannot be in excess of 200gph, 20X turnover rate is WAY too much. But would also like ZERO deadspots in tank. So no less than 100gph. Need lots of room for bio. Tank is a 10g. Its the 1 I'm remodeling.

Sounds like you already know the answer.

My ten has 10x turnover. It's fine.

Go S. Vettel #1 rb8

Im running a AC70 on my 10 gallon column tank and it's just enough to clear any dead spots, i'm not being sarcastic it's hard to get flow all the way down to the bottom of this tank with out using a powerhead. If you turn its down its around 200 so it could work, i got mine on clearance at petsmart for $20.

Not an ac 50 or 110 but if you trash the stock filter media, throw in a sponge/floss, some biomax and a bag of purigen; then you should be crispy all day. Not to mention if you upgrade it should easily handle anything up to a 55 (lightly stocked).

I'm actually a big fan of the whisper series, threres all kinds of room in them for media and they are relatively in-expensive. I still have an old ex30 that I run on my quarantine that's a solid 4 to 5 years old now and it runs great.
