Which Fish Have You Most Enjoyed Keeping & Why?

I was thinking about this because there are many varieties out there but many could be boring and cannot be interacted with. Or too shy and struggles to feed confidently. Or lays motionless like a log most of the time.

Which Fish have you enjoyed keeping and why? For me until now it is Channa Micropeltes / Giant Snakeheads. Having them were like having two guard dogs waiting and excitedly jumping for me at the front of my house gate. The only difference is that they would wait at the front of the aquarium.

Oscars, they really do have one of the best personalities for a "pet" fish ime. Mine were ravenous eaters, which was fun in college feeding them all kinds of crazy things which probably weren't great for them. They were aggressive, but not insane like some other cichlids I've had so I was able to have tank mates with them. In fact I would have one or more now except that I don't think they are the best looking fish Never had snakeheads as they have been illegal over here for some time though I did know a few people who owned them 15+ years ago and they were definitely a cool fish.

My uncle had some sorta suckerfish I really liked taking care of he was always sucking on the glass. RIP suckerfish.
