Which goes in first?

Hey everyone,
CAUTION VERY STUPID QUESTION!!!

I was wondering after u wash the pool filter sand. What do u put in the tank first water or sand

I put in the sand first. The when you fill the tank, put a plate on top of the sand.
FIll the water over the plate. That keeps it from churning up the sand, just in case you didn't wash it good enough.

is the pool filter sand from home depot ok to use?

I put plastic shopping bags on top of the sand. It seems to work better than plates or other harder things.
