We're about to move house and we're breaking down our space heated fish room. This means that we will be moving some of the tanks into the house/conservatory and will need to put heaters in the tanks.
Can anyone recommend some good, but not hugely expensive unbreakable heaterstats in the UK of around 300W? I can't seem to find any for sale, I seem to remember all sorts of resin and metal heaters being available a few years ago.
I've used a Rena SmartHeater in the past and had problems with the thermostat drifting (by 8 months old the top heat setting had dropped to meaning about 16C, it just gradually dropped over a few months) and I've contacted rena about it to see if the stat can be reset or if they had fixed the issue but I've not received any response so I really want to avoid them now. Any other ideas?
