I have an extra 200 watt stealth and a used 200 watt ebo jager that came with my 90. I hear a lot of people prefer the ebo jager. Which should I use?

Both are good.

Use both.
One in the sump and one in the DT.

I have both, but I am new to the stealth (only had it about 4 months). I've been using Jager for years and love and trust them.

If its a toss up im just gonna go with the stealth because its submersible. I wont have a sump for this tank really not necessary imo . I already have an extra eheim 2215 in the box and a fluval 405 and an aqua clear 110 for the tank. Wish I had a sump for the heaters that would reduce clutter thats for sure.

the ebo is fully subermersible too

they are required by law to put the water line on heaters sold in north america (by the CSA in Canada and the equivilent organization in the states), but they are exactly the same as the ones in europe that are fully submersible

its confusing I know.
Thanks for the info that makes the decision easy then. I will finally have a heater with an indicator light lol. So I can submerge the ebo jager glass with confidence then ? Wonder why they have to have the line there.
Also since I got it used I dont know if it has an auto off function for when its out of water anyone know?

Jager is absolutely submersible. you can easily recalibrate them too... if you need to

Never mind I just went to check the model I had and it has moisture inside it. I suppose its garbage now right?

Ya, i have one as well and have had it submerged in my tank for over a year and it's still going strong. I also heard from my lfs that it's the law for them to put the water line on it.
