So i have had a dragon goby and one of my mono argentus die, i thought that maybe the dragon goby was being outcompeted but after i quarantine tanked my mono for a month and he ate like a pig but still shriveled away to skin and bones right before he died, im sure its an internal parasite but which one? I still have one sickly looking mono.

Fish is in 1.005sg water with very pale white looking lesion patches on his sides, some tail rot too, no swollen anal area and still eats.

The one mono who died, i threw him in a 1.009sg quarantine tank for a month but the increases salinity did not seem to kill whatever parasite he head.

Any ideas guys, what parasite could survive in light brackish conditions? costia?

Could be Vibrio. Treatment options include Kanamycin, neomycin and Triple Sulfa. Once it becomes systemic treatment in a hospital tank with Kanamycin and food soaked in Neomycin is the best treatment. A 30 minute bath daly in Methalene blue at double dose can also help. The bath should be done in a seperate container while the water is being changed in the hospital tank.
