which is better for rays?
T grade of s grade color quartz?

Im either gonna go black or white havent decided yet, i have a motoro male and im looking at a true flower ray and a female motoro

well considering your new to rays i would not get a shroederi... they are very sensitive and diffucult to keep.... not to mention they are more on the docile side and not as agressive as motoros... i kept one with motoros and they killed it basically... as far as the sand goes what ever one is more fine but i prefer bare bottom..

yea, I would go bare bottem but i had to build a half plywood tank (just the bottem) I coated it with resin and then put a layer of pond liner down as well, and i guess i would rather have something over the liner

i wouldnt especially since you are new to rays they are not easy to keep... not a starter ray... some have had sucess keeping them with leo and motoro but it is a expensive gamble...

very true, I did find one for $175 and it is advertised as a true schroederi ray at 8" which is a huge deal so thats why i was thinking about it because it wouldnt be that much more then a motoro

stick with motoros

Agree real true shroderi are very hard to keep, motoro are a very hardy ray.

Do you agree with true flowers for $175? That is less than their export cost/freight fee I'm guessing.

Motoros :iagree:
