la
i setting up a new tank its 125 gallon. i got 2silver arowana and clown knife. i don't know which kind of filter would suit my fish more a hang on or a canister. u someone give me some advice about both filter thanks.

for a tank that size and the bio load you have, youre definately gonna want to use a canister filter as you can fit more bio media

Although you will obviously need a bigger tank for those fish in the future, it is always best to go with mutiple filters, preferably of multiple types.

is canister powerful enough to make a flow of curant in the water

get an FX5, youll have plenty of flow ;)

Get multiple filters. Preferably a canister like an FX5 and maybe another canister or some quality HOB filters like an ac110 or emp 400.

canister all the way

Personally I think it comes down to personal asthetic opinion, as well as the usefullness of the options available. :D

I like to keep it simple myself.

sorry what do u mean multiple filters on canister can someone walk me through it

They are suggesting with the term "multiple filters" that you do not only go with a canister.. But HOB's as well.. Hence havin multiple filters and multiple types.

So you would have in a multiple filter setting a set up that went somethign like:

1 or 2 AC110's

1 canister...

OR

1 AC110

1 EMP 400

1 Canister.. or other such combos..
