I don't recall this subject being mentioned before.I have two growouts in a thirty gallon tank,an azul and a Bahia kel, both from Sharkaquarium...I have had the Bahia for a few months longer and it is the bigger fish, nearing three inches now.The zul is a little smaller but seems to be putting on some girth since it is now eating floating pellets...The azul is also quite the bully I have noticed as it chases the kel around to the point that it hangs up in the corner of the tank.

The most aggressive cichla (IMO) are kelberi's (in a group). Single most aggressive (IMO) are larger azuls.

Azuls, and orinos are aggressive, but I have a broko growing out that's very aggre ssive.

My Kelberi are super aggressive but my Orino is just nasty! Azul seem quiet mellow.

My mono is always trying to fight with my orino.

So far we have, mono, orino, azul, kelberi, and xingu. Guess the question should be rephrased to "which cichla is least aggressive" lol

Or. Depends on the fish, not the species

My god damn kelberi was a terror he was 9 inches and was in with my 9 inch tem 12 inch pinima 13 inch Azul and 17 inch mono and when my kel got going he would kick the crap out of every single one he would even fight my big mono and put him in the corner and the mono was almost a foot bigger so I'd say kelberi also
