im setting up a planted 60 gal and i was wondering what kind of pleco could live most of its life in a 60 gal before outgrowing it and also be fine with the fish ill be having in the same tank. ill have 2 young bichors, my fahaka, a young jardini and some sort of catfish i havnt decided which yet.

Is your tank brackish? Are you putting the pl*co in with the Puffers? I read that Pl*co`s are not brackish fish. I personely would not put the Pl*co with the puffer. Try the Algae Eating Olive Nerite Snail.

royal because its pretty tough, fahakas are mean and flip randomly. bushynose are my faves for planted though

Green Phantom only gets about 6 inches. Panaque Maccus? They get less than 4 inches but need wood in their diet.
