Hi All,
I'm looking at getting a new macro Lens for my Canon EOS 40D having recently sold my Sigma 105mm Macro f/2.8, now the three lenses i'm looking at are;
Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro USM (Approx £300 if brought in UK, approx £225 if brought in USA)
Sigma 150mm f/2.8 EX IF HSM Macro (Approx £450 if brought in UK, approx £300 if brought in USA)
Sigma 180mm f/3.5 EX APO IF HSM Macro (Approx £500 if brought in UK, approx £400 if brought in USA)
Those are the three, now the reason i sold my 105mm was i didn't like the focusing mode (moving barrel etc) and all of these are internal focusing (I work in a camera shop by trade) but i want to know anyone's experiences with these lenses, whether on Canon, Nikon, Olympus or whatever fit you have (for the Sigma's of course)
At the moment i'm swaying towards forking out that bit more for the Sigma 180mm but the f/3.5 is putting me off a bit...
BTW pricing is more for my reference as i may have a friend coming out to USA soon and may get them to pick it up for me.
Thanks in advance, James
