Hey everybody i was just wondering what kind of bulbs you suggest for a display tank. Mine just burnt out and i was looking to see if theres anything that looks better. I have two fixtures on the 75. I think i have a 32"(somewhere around that size) with a yelllow bulb that make it look like the sunlight popping through but when i have people over i have the 48" bright light on, so again what bulb do you suggest for when people are actually looking at the tank and want to see it bright?

should be t8 then. I run aqua glow bulbs on all my t8 fixtures. they are very purple(ish) but they give the tanks and fish a cool glow

depends on what you like. I run a 6500k daytime for a more yellow look and 10,000k morning/evening with more blue light.

I dont believe the light has any effect on fish growth. On my tank i use 6500 k t8 bulbs from walmart and one acitinic bulb

I've read that fish exposed to 10000k light tend to be more colorful. I have no idea if this is true or not. the 10k is one bulb where the 6500k are 2 so between the color and brightness the 10k just seem more relaxing. for me anyway, sunfish like to hunt at sundown so that's when I feed them, so fish relaxation time is more during the 6500 k part of the cycle.

all T sized lights are fluorescent.
