Oregon, it's part of 'Murica!
Well since I am more than likely not getting my Red Dragon in time I am gonna wait till Spring to order another one. So I decided to focus something I have been thinking about for awhile, Red Texas.

I am thinking of having a local get me in like 3-5 texas cichlids. I have a very nice female parrot and a shortbody female flowerhorn. So which is better:

1. Texas x Blood Parrot
2. Texas x SB Flowerhorn

I could also do Red Devil x Texas but that would require me to find a large female texas and they are hard to come by.

I think red Texas is from red monkey and Texas ! but Texas X BP might work ! may be the redder BP, the better red TX come out.

I pick the BP. They seem to do well with other cichlids.

Which makes better RT out of those two depends on many factors, Neither will really create "red" texas. If your lucky you could get a few out of it. About 50% wont fade, 25% white yellow, 10% orange, 5% red and thats if your lucky.

Tex x Sb FH would create, what used to be called, Pearl Flowerhorn. Which is just a flowerhorny texas, nothing too impressive. It would create these, some being SB and if the FH was fader than possibly a few faded tex hybrids.

Rather than starting with what RT breeders were doing 10 years ago, why dont you pick up on their progress. Get a nice SRT female and breed her with the reddest fertile kamfa you can find. Thats how I would start. Good luck in your endeavours.

Either one will work, although that KKP would work better. Man I love your KKP, its not a BP. I want your KKP bad...makes me drool in my mind looking at it. :D

She is nice, not sure if she KKP parrot because I bought her at Walmart. The camera made her seem a little more red than she is. I want a KKP bad too, I wish you could find more parrots on Aquabid.

For the quality in the states - its a great fish. Overseas, totally different quality that you wouldn't believe. The ones overseas are never sent to the states(unless specifically ordered through friends/connections) and kept for breeding purpose. :(

I know, I have seen a few and its ridiculous how crappy ours are. If I could my hands on a few actual KKP that would be awesome. The only place that I can find that sells KKP is PetzoneSD.com and I doubt their quality. I wish we had a nice "Asian family fish store" in Oregon because they seem to always have the best.

i always wanted a red mammoth thats what id use
