Hello MFK's. I am currently visiting the US so I want to get meds to clean all of my fish just as a preventative measure, we don't have such meds in my home country. So I want stuff that would last me a long time.

I want to treat for the common stuff that is commonly present in fish, like internal tapeworms and roundworms, and common internal bacteria.

I'm planning on orally medicating the fish via Repashy or my own mix to get the best of the medicine.

I got a pack of API general cure (Prazi and Metro) but I don't know how much would it last, plus the shelf life printed on the box isn't too long.

So what meds should I take home with me? Also they would be used for fish under quarantine.

Thanks.

Only treat if you think there's an infection.

Quick cure has several meds in one and will cover a little of everything.

As long you qt and give the fish the type of water it needs then you'll be safe. Keep ur water clean and you'll be able to prevent infection.

With that said for qt and preventative. I use methylene blue and salt as a dip for wild fish or fish from the neighborhood lfs. Will add prazipro in there as well.

I keep kanamycin, maracyn2, triple sulfa, and furan for infections. Have levamisol as well.

That should cover a little of everything. Not sure the expectation but there'll be a date on the box. Most meds will have a expiration date otherwise will begin losing its effectivity.

Thanks for the quick reply, I very much appreciate it. I never did quarantine because I have no access to the meds, also one of my tanks once had an outbreak of something but now is doing great. So I'm pretty much sure that some fish still carry some stuff. And I want to treat all of my tanks because at some point the fish were moved from tank to tank, plus it's a one time thing I'm not doing it periodically. After that nothing will get in my systems before qt with meds.
