I'm finally actually going to order NLS after making like 2 threads about it... Suddenly, I'm not sure if I should get the NLS Mega Fish formula 10mm or NLS Thera A 6mm. I'm feeding these to my 12"-24" Bichirs. Most are 16"-20". Opinions? 6mm or 10mm. Hopefully people who reply has or is feeding NLS.

my bichirs are from 8-12", and have no problems seeking out the 3mm. i think 6mm shouldnt be too small for them.

10mm is for BIG fish. IMO, anything under 24" should use 6mm or less. With 10mm, the fish should literally be able to swallow it whole.

Okay thanks for your input. I think I'm going to order 6mm then since you said so.

Agree with above, be careful feeding large diameter pellet size. I have had bichir choke on large 10mm pellets. Retropinnis and Delhezi. Sometimes this happens because they are greedy and try and grab multiple before swallowing. I had a little trouble with NLS, but more so with Hikari's massivore if I didn't break the pellets in half. This is especially what I found in my upper jaw 12-18 inch species. Lower jaw have a different jaw structure and feeding style and I never had issue. Something to keep an eye on. They get the pellets lodged in their throat, panic, and can't get access to air. I'm still using regular size hikari sinking gold or 6mm NLS , even on my 2ft teugulsi. They can find the smaller pellets easily, and gobble them down.

6mm all day. Your fish are not that big for the 10mm pellets, unless you find them eating and crushing rocks often
