hey everyone, this thread is really just an opinion based one, as i am curious what others think about my 2 male convicts. See, i have a female that is ready to breed, but i cant decide which of the males i want to breed her with and have his genes passed down to the next generation...One of the males is one that was born in my tank and I raised myself, the other male is one i bought at my LFS but he has a very cool look. One male is a bit thicker bodied, and has a larger forhead and looks a bit more "muscular." The other male has a bit of a thinner body, but has longer fins and turns almost completely black when he's defending territory of something. They are both really cool, just give me some opinions on which you would pick to be the breeding male
Thanks guys, here's a video link of them having an argument the other night (which i broke up after i took the vid)

and here is a vid of them going at it once again from about a month ago...this vid shows their more "black" coloration

both vids are HD :) lol
thanks guys!

Both look good but I like the darker one just a little bit better BUT the lighter one has a real nice chunky look to him. Good luck!

yeah hes very cool, they both are! The chunkier male claimed dominance over the other male so i think I'll just let him breed with the female. I really like the other male too so maybe ill set him up with another female in a different tank

I prefer the lighter (dominant) one, chunkier, showing more of a nuchal hump, and better contrast in the barring. The darker one may turn out looking much like the lighter given a less aggressive environment.
