Which one for my 75 gallon central/south american tank?

I have a 75 gallon tank. which filter should i buy for my green severum and green terror in 75 gallon. the tanks has 4 cons 4 GT's two 1in two 3in and 2 green severums and 4 RD's ( iknow they will kill everything in there but this is just a grow out tank they all have bigger tanks to go to)

Buy a eheim canister filter, i have a old used beat up falling apart glued back in to one.

Yet the motor runs as if new. No sound at all, keeps my 75 clean.
 
^^ Absolutley, the eheim canister is the best. You can also run a HOB on the back as well.
 
I would go with 2 Aquaclear 110's.
 
Emperor HOB over HOT magnum. Marinelands normal canister filter isnt too bad. Eheim really is the most technologicly advanced, and best quality.
Id suggest promoting them to breeding on something other than reptiles rocks. Smoother the better. Regulate slate or a flower pot or anything flat and smooth will work fine. Put a couple spots because that will increase your chances of successful breeding.
 
You could snag an Eheim 2217 for ~$140 brand new, which would do great. I'm also a big fan of the Rena Filstar XP3, which you can snag brand new for about the same price.

You sure you want to promote your convicts breeding in there though? They'll take over like half that tank when they do. ;)
 
The last time i saw them breed was last year. Can't belive cons dint breed for 1 whole year. I have 7 cons right now . The biggest one is 5 in and last time he bred was when he was 2 in with a 1in female.( the female died when she was 2 in). His spawn was successful i got about 40 fry so i gave em' all to my buddy ( in a 15 gallon )and i got 6 of em' 4 months ago. I have the biggest male and female from the spawn. The male is 4 in and female 3 in. Think they haven't bred for so long. And i have 4 males 3 females.
