I was thinking about maybe adding one sengal bichir to my 55. In about a year or so, I can upgrade. However, I looked at liveaquaria.com, and came across a weird discrepancy. http://www.liveaquaria.com/search/default.cfm

The sengal is one of the "smaller" species, but they recommend the largest tank for it. Why?

Or just false information?

having 2 senegals i can kind've understand why they said you need a larger tank.. they do get up to 12inches.. and they love swimming around alot. It would be a bad idea to have a fish that is very active swimming in a small tank.

It's got to be a misprint. If you look at the rest of their BIchirs, they say they all can be in a 50g...even the ones that get bigger than the Senegals :screwy:

Is that "minus" the GT? It won't be for life, that's for sure. Maybe for a year or so. I'm starting a new thread because I just bought one :screwy: and am worried about the GT!:irked:
