i like liveaquaria but rock is rock. In all honesty you can place the rock from either place in a bucket, let it fully cure and allow any problem hitch hikers come out and remove them from your rock. id also do this so you can run some tests to ensure the rock doesnt contain any harmful chemicals or anything like that.

Go to your local salt water fish store and buy it there. That way you can pick the pieces you want, and you can tell if its fully cured.

even if it comes from liveaquaria, whatever is in petcos water will be in the rock, so you should be weary.

I ahve a local fish store that has tonga for 5.99 a lb and fiji for 4.99 but no alge growth

all my LFS sell live rock for 6.99 a pound... but anyway i would go with liveaquaria just cuz petco rock has petco water and petco diseases in it. and you dont want petco in your tank lol
