75 gal with a pair of a. lyonsi or a single a. red isleta or a pair of n. salvini? or some other breeding pair? I like the idea of breeding an uncommon attractive cichlid. I would like to have a pair of red isletas but im afraid the tank is too small.

Single Isletas for me; EZ question.

I saw one the other day. Not colorful but attractive right at first sight by built. The awesome built and personality beats a lot of fish. Lyonsis and Sals are prettier in colors, but Isletas is way more fun and interactive and have a special built unlike a regular fish built.

Lyonsi! The look of a trimac/flowerhorn without the murderous attitude.

i really like those heavy builds on midas and trimac. two locals here have lyonsi fry and red isletas fry. how long would a pair of red isletas be able to live in a 75 gal for? i like the idea of having the lyonsi pair as well. would i have to upgrade tanks with a pair of lyonsi? a plus with the lyonsi is i hear that they are docile and i was thinking i could maybe have a bichir or peacock eel as tank mate. but i like the idea of having a red isleta pair as well. i want to breed them also. which would be a more rewarding breeding project?

Get both fry while you have the local chance. Keep them together until you can't no more then decide.

More rewarding breeding project would be Lyonsi.

good suggestion the animal guy. thats what one of the suppliers said as well. i will do that. im just waiting for my tank to cycle.
