Which one?

So I've decided I want to get my first flowerhorn.

These are the 2 I'm looking at (I'd appreciate if anyone could tell me the correct type and how you'd grade it)

Been told this is a shortbody (length is about 15cm)

And this monster (roughly 30cm)

I'm leaning towards the bigger FH cause it has so much attitude.

I'd go with the sb, has more desired traits if you want for breeding. If you want a wet pet, get the big guy.

Yeah I'm not looking to breed, just something to fill tank space for a few months while the LFS brings in an Aro (worked out a deal where they'll buy back the FH when the Aro's come in). Think I will go with the big guy.

Can anyone tell me what "type" he'd be classified as?

Why would you buy a fish that you are not going to keep? I would get it and get a new tank for your other fish you are gettimg...
