Which ones???????

Ok sold some fish today and did some moving around and now have an empty tank.
I can use either a 50 breeder or a 30 gallon.
I want to set up an African tank.
So which fish should i look for?
Can i go peacocks...or???
Want some nice color but want to make sure i can keep them in the 30 or 50 gallon for a good while.
Im manly a South And Central America guy so any help would be great.

What are the dimensions of each? The one that offers the most floor space would work best.

The 50 breeder is 36"x24..
The 30 is 30"x12
But im not asking which tank to use im asking which fish to go with...

You wouldn't have many options with peacocks in a 36" tank, a single male with 3 or 4 females of a smaller species like aul. Hueseri or maylandi. You would have a good chance with mbuna. Two groups of peaceful species like labs, rusties, afra, or salousi. Make sure each group looks different and only one male per group.
