Which palmas is this?

Does this look like a p. palmas palmas or a p. palmas buettikoferi? Sorry the pics are blurry... I'm not that good of a photographer.

Hmmm... I ordered it as a palmas palmas from Toyin, but once it arrived today I though it looked kind of like a buettikoferi as well. Though I don't trust my own judgement so much; I always have trouble telling the two apart.

there are overall color differences between the two, but it's not clear-cut and can sometimes vary between individuals.

your best bet of telling them apart are the patterns on the side and on the back. clear differences there.

not necessarily...they can be quite close sometimes, but i wouldn't say they necessarily have the same color per se, also this depends on the individual. in short, color by itself is not a good way to ID the two.
