I'm looking to keep another pair of Parachromis (except dovii due to size) but can't decide which one - Motas, Freddies, or Loses. Which has the moat color? I've seen some awesome yellow Freddies and Red Tiger Motas. Can you guys post some pics of your fish and why I should keep them?;)

For color i would go la ceiba freddy, or RTM. I just ordered a 4 inch female and 5 juvenile freddys from rapps

Yeah I saw he had some. He had RTM's too a week or two ago but I couldn't jump on them. In a perfect world without wives I would have both! :banher: Lol. I did a google search and unfortunately you can't always trust the pics on there because they are often mislabeled. I would love to see some members pics to make my decision.

Oh by the way I already have a spawning pair of Jags so that's why I didn't put them in the mix.

i think that the motaguensis is the prettiest and the best personality. But I would say that the motaguensis probably has the most colors

I love the motas as well, but I loved the yellows in the cichla I previously kept and saw a few freddies with AWESOME yellow coloring. That being said, I also have have seen some outrageous mota pics. This is why I want to see some pics.
La ceiba freddys for sure are my favorite. Ill try to post pics of my pair tonight

Yes! Pics please! Did you get them from Rapps?

The yellow in thos La Ceibas is sick! Great looking male too, but it looks like the males' color gets washed out as they age. Is this true?

For color, you really can't go wrong with RTMs, especially females.
Yeah, I love the reds/oranges. How do the males look when they get bigger? Does the color wash out as well?

A friend of mine has a 11 inch male and i almost bought since he wanted almost nothing for it. Like alot of cichlids their color will fade or in this case it may darken. I havent seen any real old freddys so i cant comment on that. You wont go wrong with either fish but IMOE the RTM'S are very aggressive but have awesome color but i find more beauty in the freddy and their overall body pattern...
