Hi guys ,looking for a nice size pleco for my 125g.It aready houses a pair of cuban cichlids and 6 silver dollars. Is there a pleco thats more active than the usual?.They're all beautiful fish, but anytime I see them in stores, they're just stuck on the glass or on a piece of driftwood. Is this typical behaviour, please excuse my ignorance.

I have 5 baby bristle nose that are always scooting around the tank eating algae. Try them. I also have a 6" male in my sisters tank which is housed with about 4 comes all about 8-10" and a 13" commen pleco. Everyone gets along just fine.

Thanks bud for the suggestion,do the high fin or sail fin(are they the same pleco?)tend to be more outgoing?

Im guessing your talking about the longfin bristlenose? I have yet to keep them but they are on my list. Id assume they are the same? Or by sailfin you might mean the gibbeceps? Thos guys get pretty large but they are a beautiful pleco imo. A good site for pleco info is planetcatfish.com. Check it out sometime.

Ill also try to get a pic of my baby bristlenose either tonight or tomorrow so you can see them.

Thanks bud for the replies:thumbsup: ,yeah, I was refering to the gibbeceps,it caught my eye and seems pretty easy to get,saw one today at the lfs 8''-9''.I might go for it.

How much for the big one? I was gonna get a small one a lil bit back. Around here 2" ones sell for about $10. Awsome fish.

The bigger gibby will be more active than a smaller one. $38 seems a bit steep but if it is what you really want than get it!
