Hello everyone :)

I'm looking for a predator fish to go along with my arowana.
I was looking at : Redtail Catfish , Oscars , Any Catfish actually , snakehead , ect...
Any idea what should I choose ? I want it to be the main attraction of the tank , with the arowana.

Thanks :)

Hi, I think you could try get peacock basses? If you want expensive ones but really nice looking you could check out cichla kelberi or cichla orinocensis. Those are realy beautiful fishes but the size can't be too small either.

Peacock bass are great but your going to need a much larger tank very quickly i had a Silver aro and 3 P bass in an 80 for 3 months before they out grew it

For me, peacock bass should be fine with arowana. I've kept them together before but because of the big size difference the small ones got eaten. So you must make sure the size of the peacock is maybe about 3/4 of the arowana? As long as its not small enough to fit in the mouth of the arowana its fine. Peacock bass are great fishes~ Some can be trained to eat pellets too! Mine are currently eating Mealworms and prawns for the large peacock bass, and for the small peacock bass i'm feeding bloodworm and once in a blue i feed them feeder fish.Dont wan them to get used to live food... Here's some pictures...enjoy!DSC00738.jpgDSC00736.jpgDSC00734.jpg
