[h=1]120 gallon tank with 29 gallon sump (filled only halfway and stock with K1)

Obviously the higher turnover rate will be better but will a 29 gallon sump be able to handle that much? Which pump should I go for? Tank is not drilled and PVCs have not been purchase yet. And if someone can please lead me in the best size PVCs, I read chomp's sticky but was still confuse.

Rio Plus 2100 Aqua Pump 692 GPH[/h][h=1]Rio Plus 2500 HP Aqua Pump, 782 GPH[/h][h=1]Rio Plus 3100HP Water Pump for Aquarium, 900-Gallon Per Hour[/h]

I should also mention that I care more about bio media, so aim for 5x turnover rate?

What sort of media are you planning on using in the sump? I like to size up and throttle back on the pump in most cases. for a 120g I'd aim for something in the 9-1200gph range.

K1 media. I was thinking of going with the smallest pump, since the pump only needs to travel at most 5-6 feet and with bio media don't you want a slow turnover for the bacteria to have as much contact as possible?

Rio 2500 will be my choice. Don't know how much Rio 2500 is, but I use Eheim Compact 3000 rated at 792 gph. Find it more powerful than Rio 2500. Eheim 3000 ---- $115-$120 online.
