About to build a new plywood aquarium which will be minimum 370gallons possibly more but no more than 450gallons. First I would like to know what size sump I would need to make but keep in mind I need to fit it under my stand. Tank dimensions are 6-8ft long depends what I choose and 3 ft wide, height will be between 2 and 3 ft. I want to know what pump to use in the sump that will provide good filtration but still be a good even flow. I have found these two pumps but I'm really not sure what to go with because I have never used a simp before so please can I have some advice on this. Oh also, is a power head wave maker any good for a freshwater tank or is it mainly to create ocean flow in marine tanks. Here are the pumps that I've found.
