Which route would you go. In this situation.

I have a spair 55 gallon.

Here's my two choices (that I can think of) and both starting as babies.

1 Red Devil

or

2 Oscars - they would start out in the 55 and once large enough, move to my 125. I would then take the single Oscar now inhabiting the 125 and move it over to the 55 by itself.
That way I have 2 Oscars in the big tank and one in the 55.


....and
If you can name another fish that you would rather have in the 55. Name it.

Well if you already have an oscar I would choose a different species, such as the red devil. Something smaller would be better though like a GT, Jack Dempsey or severum.

RD if it's the usually lfs RD gets too big for a 55g. I would got with a jack dempsey or something in the 55g.

IMHO, If I didn't already have one, I would go solo RD for my empty 55. But since I have one, I am going for something compleatly Different.

I got a RD before you guys posted.

i hope this guy wont get too big.

He was hard to pass up. His markings were almost perfectly semetrical.
