What type of salt is best to add to ur tank in order to help with health and how much do u add

Use Aquarium salt (Sodium Chloride (NaCl)) generally dosed at 1tbls per 5 gallons of water, depending on the the reason for use (treating ich as an example) and the species being treated dosage or use (not recomended for use on scaleless fish) may vary. HTH

I've used Morton's Pickling salt, ice cream salt, and even iodized salt with no ill effect when treating for ich or preventing nitrite poisoning.

I just use api aquarium salt

100% NaCl solar salt with no additives from lowes or home depot. 40lbs for ~$5, it is the same thing as api aquarium salt.
