Which sand?

I am putting a sand bed in the 240 gallon tank in my sig line. I found paver stone sand at home depot. I like the color red/black, but is it ok to use? has anyone tried this type of sand?

Never mind on the paver stone sand. Heard it is not good.. Guess silica it is then, gonna return the paver sand.

I used a washed white sand from HD in my 120. I rewashed it before adding to the tank.

Any every used Quickrete sand? I got the medium grain sand, and washed it today.

buy pool filter sand, best choice to go with. its about 10 dollars for a 50lb bag, just go to a local pool supply store to get it.

I am using the quickrete sand in my 55 and was in my 75. When i moved to my own house i changed the 75 to pool filter sand. now I am wishing I did it with the 75. But it really depends on what your stocking is. I have catfish that blow the sand up as they swim so i constantly see sand floating in my tank.
