Hi all,
I live in a very small house and I just started a tank with the idea of having a solo Serrasalmus in it for a few years.

The tank measures are 80x40x50 cm, or 31x15.7 inches.

My idea is to buy a small Serrasalmus now, grow it in there for 2 or 3 years, and then change the tank to a 200 or 300 liters once I will have relocated to a bigger house.

Serrasalmus are known to have slow growth, but I was wondering which species could stay in there for 2/3 years before I will be obliged to get the bigger tank?
I guess adult size and growth speed should be considered to decide the species.

For now I am considering Sanchezi, that is the smallest one, or others that I really like such as Brandtii and Spilopleura which still remain of a reasonable size as adults.
I would love a black Rhombeus but I think i will never have a 125 gallon, not even later in life so I’m not even considering the very large Serras (Rhom and Manueli).

Let me know which species you think could be in the small tank for 2-3 years !
