I am picking up at the weekend a Heros Appendiculatus or apparently also known as Heros Efasciatus. There seems to be some confusion over the correct name for it. Is this a rotkeil or a turqoise severum? Either way he is beautiful!

I am soo excited!

He has a turquoise/blue face, a grey/green body with slight dorsal bands and red/orange fins. He looks like a bit like this:

Hmm..I think the most charachteristic thing would be the rotkeil head.. :D Amazing looking fish tho :)

He's not actually my fish lol but looks like the one I am getting from the shop.

This one is a bit confusing - definitely some H. rotkiel characteristics (shoulder and anal fin) but the lateral bars are not as pronounced as a H. rotkiel should be. A hybrid perhaps? Just guessing.

Might want to post a pic of the actual fish you are getting ;)

I think Hybrid between a Rotkeil and a 'blue' Severum ...can't remmember the scientific name.. Heros M (really long name...pretty common in the UK)
