Im looking to start a tank with 1 aro and 4 pbass and 1 redtail. This tank already has a 16+inch CK inside it. Im going to grow them out in a smaller tank tell i think they are all ok to join the big fish. Also this tank might just be plain. No hiding place for the redtail. Which i think should be just fine. What do you guys think? Should i start on the aro and the pbass? Ive read post of some ppl redtails eating pbass. Which im going to sell him at a good size. Which is why i wanna start on him after they grow a little. Or should it be all fine? Im starting from babies. 3inch or so.

red tails do eat pbass you should just get a aro and pbass if you just want to sell the rtc then whats the point of haveing it.

what if i let the pbass become 5+inch then raise a small RT?

Hmm what else can i put in with pbass n aro? i dont really want another clown knife. something odd and nice looking. No oscars.

What about 1 arapaima 1 Aro 4pbass (might add another fish in but still thinking)

have you seen Johnptc's arapima? are you sure that's a dandy idea?

Yes i allready have 2 buyers when his 3 feet I read they are peace full.

Ik just looked over his stuff on moving it... How heavy are they at 4foot? O.o maybe ill skip out on that fish lol.

I would say start with the Pbass. The only thing is that the Pbass would kind of be like an RTC when it comes to food. Pbass will try to eat the smaller RTC, but just as long as the RTC is a third the Pbass size, it should be ok, IMO.

Im extremely against getting an arapima,(which Im sure Im not the only one who agrees, regardless of being friendly) unless you plan on getting a min. of a 10,000+ gal tank.(Which even then they can outgrow according to John) Why get something you dont have the room for its cruel to the poor thing. Get an aro if you have enough room of course, and not that I know of do the rtcs eat pbass. There are plenty of pics of peoples tanks on here with aros and pbass just research. Or if your stuck on getting an aro, go to the aro threads and see what people put in with theirs. Good luck and please dont get an arapima
