I have a sump box that has 4 chambers. The largest has a piece of glass that does not have an opening on the bottom of the box. The others have openings on the bottom allowing flow without over flow. Which side should my return pump be in.

Sorry for the stupid question and thanks for bearing with me and answering it.

It will be on the side that does not have the opening on the bottom. In coming water will be on the other side. The water level will rise to the hight of the side with out the opening on the bottom and it will spill over into the pump chamber to be pumped back up to your tank.

my first chamber has the opening on the bottom... and the last chamber overflows the baffle with no bottom opening.
