Hi,
Im wanting an aggressive, ferocious eating, less skittish ,Serresalmus piranha. What type would you recommend?

I have 15 wild red bellies at 3" and Plan to add a couple of piraya and a couple of caribes to the shoal and probably sell 6 of the reds- these are in a separate tank if you were wondering.

I was thinking a Diamond rohm or elongatus at 7-10" ?

Or would i be better going for a different species?

thanks in advance

Max

each fish will have different personality and there's no guarantee that the fish you will be getting is going to match all your expectations.
Personally I would go with the fish that you like the look the most, even it's nothing like you expected you still have an eye candy to look at.
based on all the rhoms I had before from 1" to 12", the larger they are the less skittish they get but again there's not guarantee, be patience and with time the serra will get out of its shell.
if you have to narrow it down to which species are generally less skittish then I have heard great things about S. maculatus, S. Spilopleura, and personally I've had good luck with S. Rhombeus and S. Manueli

Serras are just sittish in general.
