Which species of freshwater stingray would be best for a 75gal tank? There is nothing else left in the tank so I can start from scratch but don't want to have to upgrade to a bigger tank when it grows up. I thought about a motoro stingray but it seems I don't have enough space for an adult.
The dimensions are 48x18x21.
I'm open to something other than a stingray for this tank but I've become quite bored of "fish shaped" fish and would like something a little more unique.
Any suggestions? Thanks!

No stingray would be suitable for a 75 gallon tank. Sorry but thats just the truth. There's a lfs around the corner from me that has fresh water flounder. Kinda cool even though they are kind of rare...

I agree, no stingray can live in a 75 gallon tank.

You can keep any kind of ray you want as long as you keep up with water changes. Once they get over 10 inches (about 1 1/2 to 2 years) you will have to upgrade. Don't buy one unless upgrading is an option because large rays are hard to ship and you will be stuck with a hard decision to make.
